Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how PlantMarket ("PlantMarket", "we", "us") collects, uses, and
shares information when you use our mobile app (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to
the practices described here. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.
2. Information We Collect
Account information: your email address, display name, bio, avatar photo, and location label you
choose to add to your profile.
Listing content: photos, videos, titles, descriptions, prices, and location you attach to items you
list for sale.
Location data: with your permission, your device's location, used to show nearby listings and to
let you tag where a listing can be picked up. You can decline this permission and still use most
of the App.
Messages and images: text and photos you send other users through in-app chat.
Payment and payout information: when you buy or sell, our payment processor (Stripe) and
shipping partner (EasyPost) collect and process your card details, bank/payout details, and
shipping address directly — PlantMarket never sees or stores your full card number or bank
account number.
Device and usage information: a push-notification token for your device (if you enable
notifications), and basic app-activity data (e.g. views on your listings) used to power features
like view counts and seller badges.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: operate the marketplace (create listings, process orders, hold funds
in escrow, arrange shipping); communicate with you (order updates, chat messages, support
requests, saved-search alerts); show you relevant listings (nearby search, category and price
filters); maintain trust and safety (reviews, reports, blocking abusive accounts, rate-limiting
spam); and improve the App.
4. How We Share Your Information
With other users: your display name, avatar, bio, general location label, listings, and public
review history are visible to other users of the App. Buyers and sellers in an order can see each
other's shipping/contact details as needed to complete that order.
With service providers: we use Supabase (database, authentication, file storage, and server
functions), Stripe (payments, seller payouts, and subscription billing), EasyPost (shipping labels
and delivery tracking), and Expo (push notification delivery) to operate the App. Each only
receives the information it needs to perform its function.
For legal reasons: we may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights,
property, or safety of PlantMarket, our users, or the public.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period
afterward to satisfy legal, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations (for example, order and
payment records related to a completed sale).
6. Your Choices
You can update most profile information directly in the App. You can turn off location access and
push notifications in your device settings at any time. To request access to, correction of, or
deletion of your personal information, or to close your account, contact us at

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal
information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact
us at support@plantmarket.app and we'll delete it.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No
method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the effective date below and,
for material changes, provide additional notice in the App.

Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PlantMarket mobile app (the "App"),
operated by Plant Market LLC. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these
Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the App, since
buying and selling involves real payments. You're responsible for the accuracy of your account
information and for keeping your login credentials secure.
3. PlantMarket Is a Marketplace
PlantMarket provides a platform for independent buyers and sellers to connect, list plants and
related items, and complete transactions. We are not the seller, owner, or shipper of any item
listed by a user, and we don't inspect listings before they're posted. Sellers are solely
responsible for the accuracy of their listings and for the items they sell.
4. Listings and Content
You're responsible for anything you post — listings, photos, videos, messages, and reviews. You
may not post content that is illegal, fraudulent, infringing, or that lists prohibited items. We may
remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Fees, Payments, and Subscriptions
Payments are processed by Stripe. A platform fee is deducted from each completed sale (the
exact percentage depends on your account tier and is shown at checkout). Funds are typically
held in escrow until the order is marked delivered or the applicable escrow window elapses,
then released to the seller.
Premium is an optional paid subscription billed monthly through Stripe. It renews automatically
each month until you cancel; you can cancel any time from Account Tier in Settings, and
cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
6. Shipping, Delivery, and Disputes
Sellers are responsible for shipping purchased items and providing accurate tracking
information. If an order doesn't arrive, arrives damaged, or isn't as described, buyers may file a
claim in the App; we review disputed orders and may refund the buyer, release funds to the
seller, or otherwise resolve the dispute at our reasonable discretion.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to: harass, threaten, or abuse other users; circumvent our fee structure by taking
transactions off-platform; post spam or repeatedly message/report the same user in bad faith;
misrepresent your identity; or attempt to interfere with or reverse-engineer the App.
8. Termination
You may stop using the App and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate
your access if we reasonably believe you've violated these Terms, misused the App, or created
risk or legal exposure for us or other users.
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law,
PlantMarket is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use
of the App or transactions between users. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is
limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the prior 12 months or $100.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the effective date below and, for
material changes, provide additional notice in the App. Continuing to use the App after changes
take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
